Agreement & Terms
Flat fee & Hourly Rates:
Georges Moving Cleaning Company offers flat rate fees and hourly rates for local and long-distance moving services. The rate depends on the service and additional fees are applied for truck rentals, the number of movers needed, mileage, and additional moving supplies. The hourly rate begins once the movers arrive at the pickup location and ends once the movers do a final walk-through and sign the receipt. There is a one-hour minimum Monday – Saturday and a two-hour minimum on Sunday. After the minimum hours are reached the customer is then charged in 15-minute increments. All rates include insurance, pads, shrink wrap, and dollies. Movers can provide minor assembly and disassembly at their discretion.
Our hourly rate does include the truck rental additional fee based on the size of the truck and availability. Customer can provide their own truck and pay the hourly labor fee.
3 movers are required for severe weather conditions, apartments located on the second floor and up, three or more bedrooms, and any moves that require a 20-foot truck. This information must be provided when scheduling. Customers who do not provide this information beforehand will still be charged for three movers whether or not we can provide the third movers.
Management or movers will text or call when they are 15 minutes away. If the customer does not receive a call, they can call the office or email to receive an eta on the mover’s arrival. There can be short delays due to traffic. The movers will call the customer's preferred contact number on the day of the move. If the customer doesn’t respond within two attempted calls, they will call the office, the customer has 20 minutes from the scheduled arrival time to contact the office if the office is not contacted within 20 minutes of the scheduled arrival the move will be canceled and the customer will be charged a cancellation fee.
If interested in receiving an estimate or scheduling moving services please contact us via our website contact number or email address. Once contacted we will ask for details regarding your move to provide you with an estimate. Must sign a contract agreement form to schedule your move. Moves are not scheduled until the contract agreement form is filled out completely and the scheduling confirmation is sent. Any item that does not get mentioned that's a part of a Flat Rate Agreement Fee may not be moved due to truck space. Contract agreement & email must provide an accurate inventory for a more precise estimate as well as the ability to bring the proper truck and materials to fully accommodate the move. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any inventory not listed in the email/or inventory sheet.
The customer will receive an email or text 2-3 days before the move confirming the scheduled date and time. All customers need to confirm the moving details with us or risk the cancellation of the move.
Before the moving contract, the agreement will have insurance information, payment agreement, and details about the moving project or if you're paying an hourly or flat rate fee the move will not begin until the form is signed.
All estimates are non-binding and based on the customer information form or face-to-face visit pictures and videos. We try to provide the most accurate estimate possible. Estimates may increase or decrease due to weather, additional inventory, long walks, or other unplanned circumstances. Customers are required to pay for any additional time if it exceeds the estimate and may stop the move if it takes longer than budgeted. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for items that cannot fit into the truck size provided due to inaccurate inventory.
Breaks and Rescheduled Moves:
Any breaks taken during the move will be deducted from the moving time reflected on the receipt. The earliest arrival is 9 am and no moves are scheduled after 3 pm. Movers can work up to eight hours. The movers have the right to stop the move and reschedule the remaining move for a later date. Movers are not required to work past 11:00 pm. Movers can take up to two 15-minute breaks within an eight-hour work period. Customers who need to be rescheduled due to the eight hours time limit will be required to pay any applicable fees to complete their move.

Stand-up Gun Shelves
Medications (if not properly boxed)
Specialty Items ex pool tables, hot tubes
Waterbeds (not broken down)
Exercise Equipment treadmills need to be broken down
Items we cannot disassemble
Reclining chairs or sofas
Tow vehicles of any kind
Remove anything from off of walls ex. Pictures, mirrors
Provide TV installation or mounting
Hoist items of any kind
Unplug or disconnect appliances or anything from the walls
Work on the roofs or balconies
Screw, plugin, or place anything on the foundation of a home
Drive on lawns or grass areas without customer permission and a release of liability
We do not provide service for the following: Mold, infestations of any kind and foundation problems, unsafe work conditions due to weather, or an unclean working environment.
Tips to save time on your move:
Have all boxes packed and labeled?
Disassemble beds (Our movers can only reassemble furniture that we disassemble)
Provide easy access to entrances and exits.
Reserve elevators for the day of the move ahead of time. Provide appropriate parking at all locations and permits if needed.
Measure all furniture for an easy transition.
Take all items out of the dresser, coffee tables, chest, china cabinet, or any solid furniture.
Parking and Permits:
Customers are responsible to provide ample parking space and permits if necessary, on the day of the move. Any tickets or fees acquired during the move due to parking of the moving vehicle will be the responsibility of the customer and will be added to the final bill.
Payments are to be paid in full after the completion of the move regardless of damages or any discounts that will be provided. We accept cash and credit. Three is an additional 3.5 plus .15 cents processing fee for credit or debit card payments which is added to the total bill. Invoices can be sent on a case-to-case basis and a fee of 3.7% will be applied. Every customer will receive a detailed receipt after the move is complete.
Payment is calculated from the time the movers arrive at the job site until the completion of their move and the final paperwork is completed.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company pays all damages directly. Any damages as a result of the move will be discussed at the time of the damage and will be noted in detail as well as photographed. Customers will receive a check within 5-10 business days for .60 cents per pound for each damaged item or the item will be replaced at the discretion of the company. Customers are responsible to provide information on the damaged furniture such as receipts and make and model numbers to ensure accurate payment. If no information regarding the damaged furniture is provided the damaged item will be priced out to a similar piece of furniture. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is contracted with third-party vendors to repair any damages to a property such as scratches or holes as a result of the movers. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any damages found after the move is completed and the final paperwork is signed. The customer is responsible to do a complete walk-through of the truck and check items for damages before the final paperwork is signed. All damages must be resolved within one week of the completed move. Any damages after this period will be deemed unsolvable and will no longer be the responsibility of Georges Moving Cleaning Company. To have a second party named as additionally insured or a copy of the COI can be provided at the request of the customer for a fee of $20 dollars. Insurance claims are at the discretion of Georges's Moving Cleaning Company. Georges Moving Cleaning Company has the right to make a claim or pay damages directly after reviewing the damages and cost.
During transit, the loaded inventory will be covered between $15,000-$25,000 in the event of collision, fire, windstorm, and overturn of the truck.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company takes safety very seriously. At this point, the movers have the right to deny services if they feel their safety is at risk. Movers can deny services for some of the following reasons. Mold, infestations of any kind, and foundation problems. During winter weather customers are required to shovel and salt the property entryways for safe travel while moving. The movers do not provide any floor mats or floor coverings. Customers can purchase floor coverings to protect floors and carpets from outside debris as long as they are not a slippery material.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company offers in-home estimates at a free assessment. All in-home estimates are based on the items and truck size being provided. In-home estimates are used to give the customer a better idea of the moving cost based off of experience. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not liable for any miscalculated estimates. If the customer declines the estimate. The customer will be responsible to measure all furniture and entry spaces to ensure that all furniture can be moved in or out safely and efficiently. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any furniture that cannot fit through entry spaces and doorways due to incorrect measurements.
Release of Liability:
Release of liability may be required if the movers believe there is an item that cannot be transported safely. The form can either be signed or the customer can move the item at their own discretion. Our moving specialists do not remove items off of walls or unplug or disconnect materials, electronics, or appliances of any kind. All electronics will require a release of liability if they are not moved to their original box. The movers can deny the transport of any item if the release is not signed. Customers with wood flooring can purchase padded material coverings for additional protection to the floors and carpet.
Work Environment Liability:
Georges Moving Cleaning Company will not be liable for damages as a result of sharp corners, tight spaces, standing pieces, irregular stairways crowded workspaces, and weather conditions. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any floor or carpet damage due to tracking outside debris into the home. Children and pets are to be out of the work area at all times!
Georges Moving Cleaning Company uses dollies and various other tools to move furniture in and out of the home efficiently. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any damages to the flooring due to dollies and other equipment used to prep or move furniture. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any damages to driveways, pavements, or grass if requested by the customer to pull a truck in these areas. GMCC is not liable for customers who enter/ load items on the moving vehicle.
All boxed fragile items must be listed appropriately. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any unmarked boxes containing glass or fragile items that are damaged due to unmarked boxes.
All refrigerators and washers must be emptied prior to the mover’s arrival. Georges Moving Cleaning is not liable for any damaged items due to items being packed into trash bags. GMCC is not responsible for any damages due to unmarked boxes.

Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any damages due to covered packed boxes or customers who help the movers load or unload the truck. Dressers, file cabinets, and desks must be emptied prior to being moved and transported.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company will not be responsible for Ikea furniture of any kind damaged during the move. Ikea furniture is made of very lightweight and non-durable materials which are not suitable for moving and disassembling. Ikea furniture can be moved at the risk of the customer.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company charges a truck rental fee based on size, mileage, and availability. Georges Moving Cleaning Company contracts its moving truck from U-Haul to provide customers with access to various truck sizes based on their moving needs.
Customers can provide their own moving trucks and are responsible for insurance, and returning the truck. Customers are responsible to provide a truck suitable to fit their moving needs.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company can drive a customer rental vehicle if the customer signs a release of liability and understands that Georges Moving Cleaning Company will not be responsible for any damages to the rental vehicle.
Loading/ Unloading Services:
Loading services can be requested for pods, storage, and various other needs. With load-only services, the customer is responsible to provide their own pads for the protection of the furniture. Shrink wrap can be provided and left on the furniture after the loading services.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any damages found when unloading a truck that was previously packed. Any damages found due to improper packing of the truck will be discussed with the customer. The movers can deny unloading services if they feel the damages will be indistinguishable.
All interstate moves are structured at a flat rate. All of our interstate moves include:
Truck Rental fees
Labor that needed for the job
Moving equipment such as pads shrink wrap and dollies
Loading and unloading / minor assembly & disassembly is needed
Contractual agreement for both parties
Georges Moving Cleaning Company can provide a free in-home estimate. After we provide the in-home estimate if agreed we will send a detailed contractual agreement based on the services being provided. All agreement is binding.
All customers that required a 26 ft truck for their interstate move will have the option to get a smaller truck or trailer in addition to the 26 ft truck if all the items cannot fit. 26 ft truck is the largest size truck we have available. The customer will be responsible for any additional items that cannot fit in a 26 ft truck if they deny an additional truck or trailer to remove any leftover items.
All partial down payment is required for all interstate moves one week in advance with either cash, check, or credit. The balance of the move will be due after the completion of the move. Any customer who does not pay the down payment risks losing their scheduled moving date.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company does not truck share! All items are delivered on the specified date.
On case by case basis for a short period of time for an additional fee.
During the time of delivery, customers have the option to provide the movers with a key so they have access to unload upon arrival, make sure someone is at the drop-off location to provide the mover's entry, or be charged a waiting fee of $100.00 per hour for the customer to arrive at the drop off location. These details will be discussed prior to the move.
Packing and Unpacking:
Packing services are priced based on hourly or flat rate fee cost of movers and packing material needed. Customer can provide their own packing materials or Georges Moving Cleaning Company can provide packing material at an additional cost based on the needs of the customers. Any packing materials provided by Georges Moving Cleaning Company and not used by the customer will be deducted from the final bill. A deposit may be requested to provide packing materials.
If the customer is packing their OWN property Georges Moving Cleaning Company is NOT responsible for damage UNLESS the employee(s) physically drops the property!
Georges Moving Cleaning Company does not require a deposit to schedule so we ask for as much notice as possible for any cancellations. If there is more than one cancellation of any one move a deposit may be requested to reschedule. Same-day cancellations will result in a $50 cancellation fee. Customers can reschedule based on time and availability with as much notice given as possible. Georges Moving Cleaning Company may ask to reschedule a move with advanced notice in the event of severe weather conditions. Customers must let the office know immediately if they need a later or earlier arrival time. GMCC will try to accommodate last-minute changes but it may not be guaranteed.
Afternoon Scheduled Moves:
Any customer scheduled after another move will receive a two-hour arrival window based on the completion of the first move. Movers will update the customer on the time frame of arrival. There can be a delay in the time of arrival based on the circumstances of the first move. All customers scheduled in the afternoon must be prepared for an earlier or later arrival.
Delivery and assembly service is a flat rate based on the items being delivered and mileage. Payment must be made in full upon scheduling delivery. Additional fees apply to additional services upon request. A delivery form must be signed after every completed delivery. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any deliveries after the paperwork is signed. The customer must check the delivery before signing the paperwork. All fragile deliveries must be listed as so before the delivery. All furniture that requires assembly must have detailed directions and all pieces before assembly can begin. Georges Moving Cleaning Company does not assemble specialty items such as pools, tables, water beds, cribs, or exercise equipment. The customer must look over all furniture after assembly is complete. Georges Moving Cleaning company is not liable after the final paperwork is completed. If assembly service is being provided the company is NOT allowed to disassemble/or assemble anything that is a part of leased property by the owner.
Junk Removal Pricing:
Junk removal services are a flat rate fee based on the amount of trash that will fill the trailer. Estimates include loading, dumping, recycling fees, and clean-up. Payment is to be made on the day of the scheduled services before the trailer is loaded.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company may request an estimate and pictures, video chat, or video of what needs to be removed before providing an estimated cost. Customers may cancel up to one day in advance without incurring a cancellation fee of $50.00. A deposit may be required depending on the services being provided. We accept cash or credit as forms of payment with a 3.5 and .30 cents surcharge for credit card transactions.
Arrival / Additional Services Our Junk removal specialist call 15 minutes before scheduled arrival. Someone has to be at the residence during the entire duration of the services. Services are a flat rate fee but additional services or items may be added for an additional fee based on availability. Any hazardous waste or items contaminated with body fluids or infestations of any kind will not be removed.
Scheduling: When scheduling the customer must provide a delivery date and time as well as a pick-up date and time. All requested self-service days as well as add on’s must be paid in full in advance in addition to the deposit to schedule service. The customer responsible for the service and moving rental equipment must be present at the time of delivery. Customers who are not ready for drop-off services at the scheduled pick-up time will receive the first 20 minutes free and will be charged $45.00 for each additional hour thereafter. Hours for self-service delivery and removal are Monday-Saturday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday we are closed. Any removals scheduled outside of these hours will incur an emergency fee of $150.00. Additional self-service days may be requested depending on time and availability. Georges Moving Cleaning Company may deny additional days and all items will need to be removed from the trailer before the scheduled pick-up. Customers who request and are granted additional days must pay for the additional days at the time of the request. The additional days will not be deducted from the initial deposit.
Rental Moving Equipment:
All rental equipment including moving labor must be requested at least one day in advance of scheduled delivery. An order form with the requested rental equipment will be posted in the trailer. All rental equipment must return within the trailer in the same condition it was given after the service is complete. Any damaged or unreturned equipment will be deducted from the initial deposit.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not liable for any customer injuries or damaged, lost, or stolen items when using self-services including overnight storage. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for damages to curbs, driveways, lawns, parking spaces, or any other grounds that result from the parked trailer. Georges Moving Cleaning Company will provide insurance to cover any damages during transit from pick up to drop off in the event of an accident.
Trailer/ Rental Moving Equipment Damages:
Customers will be responsible for the full value of the trailer and rental moving equipment if damaged, lost, or stolen while in the customer's possession. The customer is responsible for any damages that occur after the trailer and rental equipment is delivered to the property until the walk-through is complete and the trailer is taken off of the property. Trailer and rental damages will be deducted from the initial deposit and any balance owed will be required within 5 days of the service. An invoice will be sent for the balance amount. The customer cannot remove the trailer under any circumstances. Previous damages to the trailer will be recorded to track any new damages incurred while in the customer's possession. Customers have 24 hours s to make a written complaint via email that any new damages were not caused while in their possession. Any complaints sent after 24 hours of the pickup will not be reviewed. If within the 24-hour time frame the complaint will be reviewed but that does not mean that the customer is not responsible for the damage. Georges Moving Cleaning Company will respond to the complaint within 24 hours regarding the fault of the damage. If a fault is not found Georges Moving Cleaning Company will refund any money withheld from the initial deposit. If fault is found the customer will be responsible to pay the full value within 5 days of the written complaint. Any damaged, lost, or stolen items that are not reported upon pickup will be noted and a fee of $50.00 will be added to the total amount owed.
Trailer/ Rental Moving Equipment Damages:
Customers will be responsible for the full value of the trailer and rental moving equipment if damaged, lost, or stolen while in the customer's possession. The customer is responsible for any damages that occur after the trailer and rental equipment is delivered to the property until the walk-through is complete and the trailer is taken off of the property. Trailer and rental damages will be deducted from the initial deposit and any balance owed will be required within 5 days of the service. An invoice will be sent for the balance amount. The customer cannot remove the trailer under any circumstances. Previous damages to the trailer will be recorded to track any new damages incurred while in the customer's possession. The customer has 24 hours s to make a written complaint via email that any new damages were not caused while in their possession. Any complaints sent after 24 hours of the pickup will not be reviewed. If within the 24-hour time frame the complaint will be reviewed but that does not mean that the customer is not responsible for the damage. Georges Moving Cleaning Company will respond to the complaint within 24 hours regarding the fault of the damage. If fault is not found Georges Moving Cleaning Company will refund any money withheld from the initial deposit. If fault is found the customer will be responsible to pay the full value within 5 days of the written complaint. Any damaged, lost, or stolen items that are not reported upon pickup will be noted and a fee of $50.00 will be added to the total amount owed.
A deposit in the amount of $50 for a project less than $1000 will be due when scheduling self-service. Deposits can be used for damages, cleaning fees, or any other balances due after the completion of the service. Deposits will be returned within 5-10 business days of the service depending on the bank.
Customers are responsible to find ample parking space for the trailer to be stored during self-service. Any tickets or towing fees incurred due to improper parking of the trailer will be deducted from the initial deposit. Customers can request for the trailer to be parked on a driveway, lawn, or parking space. Customers will be fully responsible for the trailer once it is parked.
Someone must be present at the time of delivery to sign all paperwork and confirm trailer parking. Customers must sign paperwork for trailer and rental damage, deposit deduction, trailer parking, and any other paperwork applicable to the service. The customer will have an order sheet with the order and scheduling information listed in the trailer the trailer will not be delivered until all the applicable paperwork is signed. All receipts will include the final cost and any deductions or balances that the customer must pay.
One mover may be provided for one hour per day for $150.00. The mover can provide labor help when loading the trailer. The customer must contact the office if more labor is needed
Customers need to review and pack the trailer according to the proper weight and safety posters listed inside the trailer. If the trailer is improperly loaded by the customer then the customer will be required to pay for 1 hour of labor cost for one mover to help reload the trailer correctly.
Georges Moving Cleaning Company will provide temporary overnight storage for customers who cannot have the trailer left on their property. Georges Moving Cleaning Company is not responsible for any damages, lost or stolen items once removed from the property. Our trailers will be locked and stored and stored on a private lot until the scheduled drop-off.
Emergency Trailer Removal:
Trailer removal outside of scheduled pick-up can be scheduled between 7:00 and 8:00 pm Monday – Saturday. An additional fee of $150.00 will be applied to the final bill. Emergency pick-up will take place between 1-3 hours after scheduled.
Customers are responsible to clean the trailer upon completion. Any debris or trash left inside the trailer will result in a $30.00 cleaning fee deducted from the initial deposit. Any furniture left inside the trailer will result in a $140.00 dumping fee.
Discounts can be provided at the discretion of a supervisor. Discount will be reflected on the move receipt
